The Remarkable Spirit

The Remarkable Spirit

When Jesus left his disciples and went to heaven, He gave them the best gift He could, the Spirit. He is more remarkable than many believers know and has much more to give than they may anticipate. The Spirit has brought believers to the start of the journey and given them the resources to reach the end and has promised to be their coach, their guide and their partner. It is up to us to take advantage of our trainer and friend and to enjoy the journey.

At the commencement of our relationship with Him, we acknowledge that we are standing at the edge of an impressive, unfathomable sea of truth relating to the Spirit, but we walk into it knowing that He will be our guide and partner in the process. The fundamentally unknowable Spirit enjoys helping us intellectually and experientially glide over the surface of his being and enables us to tap into his personality and character.

The Spirit is a friend to enjoy more than a force to be accessed, a partner with whom we are to become better acquainted not the subject of a thesis on which we are to be examined. How do we know that He wants to encounter us, how do we encounter Him and what does He want to give that we need so much – these are some of the questions that I want us to explore. It is my hope that these reflections on the teaching of the NT concerning the Spirit will result in Him becoming more and more remarkable to you.
